In the Valle di San Vito there is the largest cork oak wood to be found in central mainland Italy. In this area the Monti Ausoni together with the Lago di Fondi form part of the Parco Naturale Regionale.  The area is rich in both flora and fauna, ideal for bird-watching and there are numerous trails to explore.

In the district of Vallemarina there are some vineyards which produce a good Moscato wine.

A Market is held in Monte San Biagio every Friday morning, and there is a huge market in nearby Fondi on Sunday mornings which is well worth a visit.
